Hello Church Family,

‘Tis the season that the HUB is selling Butter Braids.  If you know a kid in the HUB then please consider buying some braids in support.  If you would like some braids, but do not know a kid that attends HUB, you can buy from Zach or any of the other HUB leaders.

Weekly Update

Hello Church Family,

Along with the weekly update, we have an important prayer request from Pastor Henry of Zambia.

Dear praying saints,

I am hereby requesting you to pray for our brothers and sisters in Congo. I have just received a message from David that there are being attacked by soldiers and rebels.

This is a serious issue our brethren are on the run and already others do not know where their wives and children are. Last week when the pastors came from Congo they told us that any time Kabila’s soldiers were going to attack them and this is what has happened now. We had some pastors who lost their wives because of the rebels attack and killings.

Yours in Christ, Henry.

I would like you to pray for me God willing l may go to Congo, Rwanda and Burundi in September.

Weekly Update 7/19

Hello Church Family,

Did you know that you are welcome to bring your friends and family with you to church?  If you have company at your house, invite them to attend church with you.  If they opt to stay home, it is a great testament of faithfulness for them to see you make church a priority by attending anyway.

Have a joyful week,
sara in the office

Weekly Update 6/21

Happy Summer,

I was reading an artical entitled “Left to our Own Devices,” in the June afa Journal this week and ran across a very interesing answer to the question; why is liberalism always pushing in a new direction.  Here is what Matt Walsh had to say about it…
“Liberalism has no truth at it’s foundation, so it can only keep moving.  Christians live in a house built on a rock, but secular progressives have no house at all.  they are ideological nomads, wandering ever farther into the ether.”
I dread the idea of being homeless.  To be without a place one could come to truly rest would be exhausting.  Be it physically or ideologically.  Take a minute to pray for someone you know who is homeless.

Stay cool,

sara in the office
