Childrens Ministry

Praise Place and Nursery

(Birth to 12 years…Nursery to 5th grade)

After the first few songs of worship in our service our kids are dismissed to the "Praise Place", where they can learn about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the people of the Bible, and other Christian topics in a classroom setting. The kids are encouraged to bring Bibles of their own and read along (or aloud, depending on ability). The class will play games, read Bible stories, talk about how to live a Christian life, do art projects, keep journals, and have some tasty snacks!

Classrooms are available for…

Our Challenge:
Because growth experts tell us that the majority of believers begin a relationship with Christ during the years before 18, it is our challenge as a church to provide ministries for children that build strong foundations of faith and a deep sense of love and belonging, making church a fun place to grow up in. To help with this, curriculum is designed to ensure that children progress through the Bible several times during the Sunday school program.

In Mark 10:16, Christ "gathered the children up in his arms and laid his hands of blessing on them".

Childrens Special Activities

The children's activities are intended to provide the younger children a time to get together, have fun, and get to know each other better. Activities have included: Calvin Olympics, zoo trips, hamburger vs. hotdogs picnic, sledding, freezer bottom trip, water world, and hiking.

Empty Nesters

“Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?” (Job 12:12)

Now, that’s not to say that all Empty Nesters are aged or have lived a long time, but it does mean that those of us who have an Empty Nest are a little more likely to have time to gain wisdom or understanding (or maybe it should be the other way around.) So, basically an Empty Nester is anyone who is an adult, (able to sit up and take nourishment) with either no children, or children who have all left the nest!

Anyway, we are a great bunch of (mature) Christians who enjoy the fellowship of each other. We often (once every other month, or so) gather at a local restaurant for a meal. We have tentatively chosen the 4th Saturday of the month to try to get together. We’ve got plans to get together for fun filled activities, a song fest of old hymns (if we get enough interested) or playing of games.

We have Sunday School on Sunday mornings during the 10:00a.m. service. We also have an outreach that encourages us to do random acts of kindness whenever the opportunity arises.

We welcome everyone who enjoys another’s company because one of our purposes in life is to fellowship with other Christians!!!!!!!!!
