Nikolay Balanenko Newsletter #2

I got some good information from Tashkent: the process of TCI branch registration is successfully advancing and, perhaps, is over till summer 2006. This is important because it offers the challenge of establishing a sound branch of the institute with the perspective of transformation into a national Uzbek Christian Educational institution. It gradually accumulates spiritual and intellectual potential. I think, from 2008 70-80% the curriculum will be fulfilled by Uzbek teachers. It also gives us the possibility to buying property and having our own permanent residence. So, I want you to pray for these things.

The meeting arrangement in the Crimea is moving forward. Two cities have agreed to take part in it. I will let you know the final results of the promotion. At present I am emailing and calling brothers to different towns, the cities in the Crimea, and trying to convince them of the need to arrange this meeting. All recognize its necessity and positively accept the idea and I expect it to come about.

One more thing I'd like to share. In September 2005 when I visited Uzbekistan, God let me meet a pastor from Australia who crossed my path. His name is Richard Ansoul and he comes to Tashkent yearly. In October, he and his wife visited Ukraine and the Crimea and expressed interest in reaching out the Tatars. I think we could involve them into the Crimea project next fall. They already have plans to visit Ukraine in September-October, so I invited them to Kherson to get to know TCI. He could even give a seminar at TCI extension in Tashkent. I am currently in correspondence with him.

In His service,

your brother Nick.
