In 2004, Christian Church of Estes Park opted to support IMD International, a Denver-based teaching and training ministry “directed towards equipping focused groups to carry out their God-given ministry better..” Thus far, IMD has concentrated the ministry in France, Botswana, Gabon, India, South Africa, Ukraine, and Zambia. CCEP attendees Rob Booth and Lesta Johnson both serve on IMD’s Board of Directors.

Christian Church of Estes Park got a first-hand look at this ministry by way of a 2004 visit of IMD African Director Koos Basson. He and his wife, Jeni, participated in our Missions Sunday and shared their missions experiences with all of us. Koos and Jeni Basson are based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Shown here with his family, Pastor Henry Katontoka is IMD’s northern Zambia representative. In 2005, IMD opened an office in Zambia. CCEP provides regular support for IMD Zambia and Pastor Henry, as well as some financial assistance to the Basson’s.
